Best Practices for the Internationalization of ECM and Portal Projects
Thursday, November 9th, 14.30
Category: Intermediate
Track: Technology
Although more and more projects have an international character, my experiences in the field show that many of the basic principles for a successful, global implementation are still poorly understood. Very often, the issues concerning internationalization are underestimated, which can lead to severe problems when scaling out on a global scope.
This presentation shows you the best practices and things to watch out for during the preparation and implementation of your global project. We'll discuss topics like encoding, global content categorization, database performance, multi-lingual search, and so on. The presentation also touches upon more advanced topics such as content inheritance features and automated content translation flows.
Joint session with case presented by Pranshu Jain from MindTree Consulting.
